My Game Settings for this game (Tips for new players)
When I play and see new people, I most of the time advise them these settings, most important the HUD Visibility to put it on Persistent, (the reason why is, that you can see you radar at all times and see your teammates, so as someone gets down and needs a medic, you can see it on the little radar, you see the cross and immediately see that someone needs a medic) See the FOV screenshots, and you see the radar left bottom corner and your gear on the right bottom corner):

My Brightness is 260:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3285085947

The Default is 220: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3285085337

With 260 you can see way better into rooms. If you are at a window and look inside, you can way better see enemies inside.
One player gave me this tip way back when this game came out, and since he said this, I since then play with Brightness 260. (the screenshots are way clearer than how it looks in game, in game the 220 is way darker and I can't see it. Probably because of the screenshot, it looks way clearer.)

I play with FOV 77: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3285096696
Some other players prefer to play with FOV 100: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3285097142

So, in the end it is up to you, if you want it harder, you can turn off crosshair etc.

I just post it here, cause many times when I play, I play with new people with 0 games completed, so I like to help these new players out :D Still nice to see new people to this game!

Sorry, I forgot the explain why indeed. As you can see in the screenshot: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3285096696

In left bottom you see your radar. That way you are better orientated. South, West, North, East, and can easier make calls to your teammates. Like enemy contact West, and then you know where to look for example.
And if a teammate gets shot and needs a medic, you can also see it on the radar. So you can always respond fast.

Other thing I like, is that on your right bottom corner side, you can see how much Ammo you have left. So you can see how much grenades and smokes you have.
Also you see your role, "Leader" (in this screenshot) in the right bottom, and next to it that's the radio, if you press "spacebar" and talk, you will see that it will "light up" when you use it, so that is nice to see/ check if your radio is working.

But if you wanna make it harder for yourself, you can of course turn it off. These are just settings I prefer and like. It's up to you how you wanna play :D :D

The Devs could put in a system, like if you use crosshair, you get a little bit less xp points or something? That kind of things, that would motivate me not using crosshair etc and challenge myself :D

Well good luck guys, and i'm always willing to play with new players and others, I like this game very much!

Or also helpful, just start a training, and just play with the settings. When in training, you can adjust some settings while in a training. Or just start a mission like "Train Station" and at the start just play with your settings and see the difference and try to figure out what suits you, what you like.

Well only mission I orientate myself decent enough is Phase Line Henry lol
The detail when an guy is incapacitated is nice too, but not enough for me to keep it fixed on screen.
What do you think about "Lean" options, by the way?

I have auto lean OFF. I found it annoying, I have it set, so if I Press Q or E, is stays leaned, and I have to press again Q or E to stand normal. That is how I prefer and like it.

Off for me too.
However I am thinking it has nothing to do with the player Q or E posture, but how the body interacts with the scenery, for instance noticing the player goes into a cramped space and put the weapon up and down, or facing a wall ...

Definitely the move at least until you get used to the game. Once you have a better understanding of things and maps for more immersion I turn it off. But to get through the learning curve this helped a ton.
