The world does not revolve around you. Calm down. Let them cook. It's done when it's done. Rome wasn't built in a day.
They can do both, you know?
Like, cooking and communicate with their playerbase.
I never complained for the AI not being here yet, i complain about their foggy communication.
Unless you are somehow insulting their intelligence by implying that being more open would somehow make em slower.
This is an Early Access title. The game developers has been very transparent from the start. When they said last quarter that their AI is not up to snuff I believe them. I rather have a product that is received well by the community then a product that is clearly rushed and put out there just to finish on someones else's time line.
Remember this is more than just a game or a simulation. This is meant to tell a story. Ultimately Highwire needs to knock this out of the park because what they are doing are honoring the men who served and died on a distant battlefield for the freedoms we enjoy today. This includes both American and Iraqi troops.
Will the community still support them when they delay the team AI for the 3rd time?
Well, the next obvious question is if you are upset over the early access argument are you aware of what early access entails? Here's a remainder.
What is Early Access?
Get immediate access to games that are being developed with the community's involvement. These are games that evolve as you play them, as you give feedback, and as the developers update and add content.
We like to think of games and game development as services that grow and evolve with the involvement of customers and the community. There have been a number of prominent titles that have embraced this model of development recently and found a lot of value in the process. We like to support and encourage developers who want to ship early, involve customers, and build lasting relationships that help everyone make better games.
So you see. You are part of the community that is providing no critical feedback other than "hurry up". And "I want it now."
Lastly, a 3rd delay is just you and others making mental gymnastics. Stop It. Enjoy the game. Give feedback then standby for something awesome.
Are you even reading what the op posted, or are you just trolling?
The op never said anything about the development being done on their timeline, they are just asking for more information to be shared.
To the op, devs generally don't give very much in the way of details during development, especially if the development isn't going well.
It only took 10 minutes of watching the gameplay for me to understand that getting AI teammates to operate in this environment was going to be extremely difficult, and may not really be possible. I'm suggesting that people set their expectations accordingly.
We all know what EA is and this has NOTHING to do with that. I buy EA all the time.
It has EVERYTHING to do with over promising and under delivering and not communicating. Sorry if you can't understand that. And no, this issue has nothing with the community offering critical feedback. How the F can we offer critical feedback relating to team AI with no team AI? I have posted MANY times as a bridge to the team AI, offer a easier setting for solo players. No response from the developers. So redirect your anger elsewhere please.
Listen, you first showed up here asking on the state of the game. The community told you AI bots are not in game. You still bought it in hopes that the AI bots would be delivered on the road map that was current at the time. Now I admit, your predicament sucks but to lash out on the developers for your poor timing is not their fault.
Development is not easy. That's the nature of the beast. They clearly have an AI that they feel is not ready for prime time yet. So, why then release this lackluster AI that's just going to bring them feedback they already know?
Now look at the positive here. Since you became a member of the community they have delivered quality of life updates, more missions, and now this new dedicated server that they are testing. Look at all of this content you could of been providing great and needed feedback to.
Lastly, I'm not angry. I refuse to get angry over a few words on a cellphone. Only a weak man would get angry over something so trivial.
