There are four usable weapons in game. The M16A4, the M9 pistol, the M249 SAW, and the Brenelli M4 shotgun. This is largely what the average Marine fireteam had at the time.
These weapons are split across 4 classes, each corresponding to a role in a Marine fireteam according to the TOE for the Marines at this time.
1) Team: the fireteam leader. They get an M16 with an ACOG, grenade launcher, and flashlight and a M9 with a flashlight as a backup.
2) Ready: standard rifleman. They get the same setup as Team, minus the GL.
3) Fire: automatic rifleman. They get the SAW as a primary and a M9 with flashlight as backup.
4) Assist: assistant automatic rifleman. They get a shotgun with flashlight as a primary, and a M16 with irons and flashlight as a secondary.
Now each match, only one person can have a role, and the Team role must be filled. The team guy also picks the kits for everyone else. This is imo dumb and people should be able to pick their class, but I think the class system as a whole is great and should stay.
And this is why we can't have good games any more. Go play Tarkhov, it's like the Tacticool simulator.
Well, not having what most games have is why less than a thousand people playing it, and it's only being out for a month. That's a problem because the game only has a co-op game mode, with so few people playing it, the game is dying off very quickly.
The best person in weapons testing, or if only single person qualifed and/or went to weapons training for said weapon availble will recieve the weapon if availble. Which could even be a 240 or "minigun" lol. My gosh how do you guys try to talk anything against what this guy is asking when you dont even know anything on the topic. Of course its not going to be call of duty, but 4 weapons availble ? Thats why player count is less then 700 just a few days after release thats pretty terrible..
Do you think marines would ever be successful with only 4 weapons? You really too stupid to thing marines dont have rpgs? No snipers no scopes? Out of the 100s weapons marines use only 4 are in the game. There should be anti mines, rpgs, snipers, short range artillery, m1014, 240, cs gas(lots of cs gas...) riot shields, batons even knives too. Never seen a marine not allowed to bring a personal knife out to field training or on deployment no reason he shouldnt have one or 2...
To sum up my long post to the guys above who sounded like idiots attacking the guy for a good qustion, yes. There should be far more guns and classes per say in the game. And even though gun customization isnt really a thing in marines, (unless a E7 says so) Putting some of that flavor in would actually make it a far better game. If you want a real similator then add the mortars in the game and have it once you buy the game and die the games deleted from your account 😬😂.. Then you have to buy it again. I would like that similator lmao..
See below.
No further argument to be had in the matter, to be quite honest.
