Time limit OPTIONS
I just want to jump on the wagon in agreement. Please make an option for the time limit. Dont remove it, otherwise the players telling the ones wanting the option to "get better" or "dont take forever clearing" will lose their minds. WE GET the game is based on realism, WE GET theres a story..But its STILL just a game. And some people (like myself) only play with 1 or 2 friends. Let us have the option so a wider base of players can enjoy it. You can still have your option for your sweaty timer.

I dont mind having a timer on missions but I really wish there was a mission where you just clear the city block and you werent timed or at least gave 45 minutes or so to clear the map. Some missions make sense to have more urgency than others

Agree….

You definitely need an option to turn it off.

I completely understand the sense of tension and urgency they want to create..

But…

OPTIONS are good. Allow players to play the way they want to.

What’s wrong with that?

Also if most missions have time limits it becomes annoying — it just ignores players that like to play a slower more tactical game….

This is especially important if you want to play solo with AI squad mates…

Exactly. Im hoping that when they make the ability to select missions they will make some missions timed with the ability to adjust, and some to either remove the time entirely or adjust it. Depending on the mission type.

Yeah that was my biggest thing, i play without a full squad and the time makes it so we cant see the whole map or especially when we have to search the whole map looking for objectives, it makes it nearly impossible unless you have a full squad and even then its still pretty rough. Im not a hardcore type of player i like enjoy every aspect of a game. Not sweat and rush every moment.

Thanks for the feedback on this. While we don't have any immediate plans to completely remove timers, I've noted this for the team.

Still an amazing game, and I applaud you all for not creating an every day arena shooter. The realism put into it is amazing, just maybe a few more options for the audience of casual players is my suggestion. Cheers!

The solution would be to have adjustable times on solo but don't really think it will work in co op online as dead players will just leave making it frustrating

How? If someone left my match but i had the time set for longer Id be more happy than upset because now i got more time to complete the mission and im not totally screwed. And if someone dies after they been brought back and doesnt wanna wait till the last dies or completes the mission then thats on them? Thats part of the game already, even with the time limit? So personally, I dont see that being a serious issue at all.

that's probably because you hate fun. Dude, your game's concept will still be intact even if you give players a bit of customization freedom. If your game's concept collapses because you remove a freakin' time limit, than your game sucks. And this is not the case at all. Everyone in the world hates time limits in videogames, just give us the option to remove them. We're still gonna get the PTSD-inducing gameplay, and we might also have fun - a thing that you seem to completely despise. Please don't be THAT kind of developer, reminding me of Tarkov or something like that.

Nah, remove the timers. They're not helpful. I just picked the game up and I like the game so far, but being rushed through something that Marines would not rush through to begin with breaks immersion. I was told, in repetition by my NCO's and SNCO's to take my time when going through tense situations like that, to pay attention to details. I get that the AI may not be "super lifelike," but someone could easily miss an enemy hiding behind a couch or something and end up getting shot in the back because of it.

To close, this is something my friends have outright said that if timers are going to be a thing in a tactical shooter, they're less likely to play the game.

Always remember the saying, "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast."

There is an option to remove timers now in game under the Wargames mode.

This is correct. Wargame offers customizable mission parameters that offers players more control over the combat simulation (timers included).
