You definitely need an option to turn it off.
I completely understand the sense of tension and urgency they want to create..
But…
OPTIONS are good. Allow players to play the way they want to.
What’s wrong with that?
Also if most missions have time limits it becomes annoying — it just ignores players that like to play a slower more tactical game….
This is especially important if you want to play solo with AI squad mates…
Nah, remove the timers. They're not helpful. I just picked the game up and I like the game so far, but being rushed through something that Marines would not rush through to begin with breaks immersion. I was told, in repetition by my NCO's and SNCO's to take my time when going through tense situations like that, to pay attention to details. I get that the AI may not be "super lifelike," but someone could easily miss an enemy hiding behind a couch or something and end up getting shot in the back because of it.
To close, this is something my friends have outright said that if timers are going to be a thing in a tactical shooter, they're less likely to play the game.
