Is there anything else you'd like to see improved here?
No it’s a working mission probably exactly as you intended it. It’s just my opinion that it doesn’t play to the games strengths as generally you’re anchored to the convoy with the exception of short lived moves to kill mortars or a sniper.
The way I usually see that play out is somebody charges off by themselves and biffs a grenade at the mortar or sniper roof then runs back.
Depending on how you develop the game a convoy mission would be more enjoyable if the convoy were moving and you took fire and had to clear the area before moving on to protect the convoy. I appreciate this is probably beyond the scope of what you’re aiming for.
Cheers
The problem is the AI have zero sense of awareness, and its more noticeable on this map because you are defending. You can post up in the first building 2nd story and just shoot them all in the back. As well, they all spawn (just like other maps) in massive blobs.. so you can mow down 5 guys in seconds without breaking a sweat.
The other thing the AI loves to do on the map is move from N>S or the reverse, hopping over every single wall in their way without ever firing a shot. Sometimes they'll even get up to the convoy, and just turn around and run the other way.
That's why the mission feels so janky. The AI has a very long way to go.
I've only played with randoms so far, however, the community from what I've seen is amazing.
First game in a while I've even had new people on my f-list.
You could add a scoped rifle on the roof with the machine gunner to take care of mortars/Snipers but overall MG on roof, Tube on ground will get it done.
Sometimes the roof access is from outside around the side. That building provides all the overwatch you need for the bullet hose.
Yeah, AVOID using any buildings, two guys on the left/south, two on the far right/north BEHIND the vehicles, if the sniper or mortar team spawns on the northern side, the right team can move in while the left/south team defends the convoy.
