Want to see more period weapons added to the game
There were most definitely additional weapons used by our troops in the missions out in Fallujah.
It would great to see the likes of :
Colt1911 MEU SOC
M14 Mod 0/M1A
Mk12 SPR, M16 SAMR, SR25
M24
M82
LAW
M32 MGL
M240/M249
Mossberg 590
Remington 870
These would have all been period correct there are plenty of photos of the firearms being used by regular US forces grunts. I know this has been brought up before but our troops had quite the menagerie of weapons at their disposal besides the the regular setups.

You're using what the Marines had. They didn't get to choose their loadouts. They got what they got.

I agree some more would be good, but I don't necessarily think we should be able to choose everything. I like how it is randomly assigned right now. It makes sense and honestly keeps things fresh.

80% of those weapons you listed would almost never be given to an 03 in this time period. If you've seen pictures of a regular 0311 with an m24, mk12, or m32, etc, they were probably posing with it or happened to get their hands on one because it happened to be there because it was brought by someone else. Also the M240 is a crew served weapon, this isn't battlefield 4 and you will almost never see someone just firing it from the hip, and definitely not bringing it to their eyes to aim it for extended periods. It is very heavy and is usually operated by a two man team and used for isolation and suppression.

The M24 and M32 are all Army weapon platforms, the Mk12 is Navy, but you are also correct that the M240 is crew served, but there are some occasions where a single Marine had one, but they were usually mounted MGs on HMMWV's and MRAPs

Marines in the early years of the iraq war were incredibly under equipped and they had a small budget compared to the rest of the US military. Theres accounts of marines supplying their own magazines and flashlights. One of the reasons the usmc were running m16s for so long was they didnt have the money for an upgrade.

Humvees early in the war were not armoured so insurgents could kill the occupants if they blasted it with their rifles. Historically the marines always get the crap end of the stick and have to make do with outdated equipment.

Id rather see updated animations than any new equipment. The m16 reload on an empty mag, the guy pulls back the charging handle to chamber the round, theres a bolt release button thats quicker and its intended purpose.

It's also always been the case that the leaders of the other branches don't think there's a need for the Marines so they've done their best to limit them by decreasing their budget. The book First to Fight by Victor Krulak goes very in depth on this topic and is a good read.

I'll make a note for the team. As a general rule: if they were used in the battle, there's a chance we'll feature them in the game.
