This just happened to me literally as I'm writing this post. Seems the bug is still occurring.
I can confirm the old flinch mechanic is back in force. It feels like I drop my gun again just because they look in my direction.
EDIT: Is it possible that we are indeed getting hit, but there's not visual feedback? There usually are some other screen effects when hit. Maybe it isn't that the flinch is back, but there could be a bug that doesn't render the same effects on screen and only lowers our weapon.
In any case there's no indication of being hit afterwards. You're completely fine as if nothing happened. The other day a bullet hit the wall next to me and the character stopped aiming and I was forced to re-aim. I'll definitely try and record it when I have the time.
Can you guys give any more specifics for a repro? Any maps or modes? Specific insurgent types that cause this?
