you're not going to mount a torch on a SAW.
Can you imagine though? Probably melt the thing off. Not to mention having to put a flashlight on every spare barrel. Did the marine corps even have m-lok or side mounted picatinnies in the Falluja days?
Huge chuckle from this post. Total facts.
NO vet went into a fatal funnel with a SAW. Those are for moving parts before and after.
Oh boi thats going to be so cool.
Otherwise let me use a M16a4 because without a light I don't want to play. Needing to swap to my pistol indoors is unrealistic and stupid.
This is extremely unrealistic and immersion breaking.
To top it all off the fire rate of the M249 is a 100-150-ish RPM too fast for the average short barrel SAW.
How are you measuring fire rate to determine its too fast?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JOT_jkOmaQE this is not the same para model in game as this one has rails, but where those rails are is where you would also ziptie or tape a light to it.
No not many marines had lights on their SAW no, but also not many marines were a four man team kicking in multiple doors one after another in unclear buildings without any cover, or support and relying on only three flashlights to work with. Plenty of people had flashlights one way or another if they were going into dark rooms.
No you do not whip out your pistol over the SAW, that's why you have a short barrel para M249 is for entering buildings. 9x19 is a pistol cartridge compared to 5.56 you would 100% risk hearing loss over exceptionally ineffective fire.
How am I measuring fire rate? Audio. The SAW I would guess is shooting about 750-850 RPM and it should be 600-675 for the Para variant. It could shoot faster if the armorer wanted it to, but it's extremely unrealistic for it to be above ~650 RPM.
