Let us pickup dead enemies weapons.
"BUT Realism, the marines didnt do that, etc..."

I don't care, if push comes to shove and I'm out of ammo, I want to pick up that AK on the ground.

this is not call of duty the marines and even soldiers in the army are taught not to do so

Devs are shooting for realism. If it isn't realistic, don't expect it to be added.

The only way I could see picking up guns and using them as being realistic is if you run out ammo. It would make no sense to drop a perfectly good M16 with ammo.

And playing against scripted bots (not even AI technically) is realistic? One could also argue that not being even able to pick up another weapon is not 'realistic'. I love the realism vibe, but ultimately it's also a game.

3:23 in video, A Marine is using a captured AK in a firefight during the Battle of Fallujah. Anyone saying it didn't happen either didn't watch the video or are naive to think enemy weapons were/are not used during combat operations.

Dude, Marines are literally taught enemy weaponry before combat operations, this is normally done during the "work-up" to the deployment. If found in a situation where push comes to shove, an enemy weapon (most commonly an AK) might be the difference between life and death. "Not taught to do so" and exigent circumstances are two different things.

There are certainly exceptions to this (like the video shared above), but generally speaking Marines didn't do this. Deciding when to resupply from the AAV, especially when you're deep into the AO, creates a variety of gameplay challenges.

the thing is most Soldiers and Armies are Bound to strict rules, and normaly Marines let enemy Gear lay on the Ground, because you never Know if it is a Trap, the same with looking for ammo on dead Enemys, so when they add this to the Games there should always be a Risk that you just Die, with a Growing chance with passing time, so sooner or later you just explode. In WW 2 a lot of german Soldiers used Russian Weapons, but that was something special for WW 2, and Nam if i am Correct, but that was because the M16 was Trash AF

It's not even really that it was trash. The issue was it was touted by the US govt as a self cleaning weapon, They sold that line to every kid they drafted during the time of it's implementation. If the kids knew about firearms, if they didn't... didn't matter.

Couple that with the US govt trying to save a buck by also not providing soldiers with cleaning kits for the "self cleaning" rifles... and you have a perfect storm of conditions for a weapon to gain a not all true reputation.

Considering devs said nobody gets to play as insurgents, yes.

Think the devs should just focus on allowing team mates to share magazines

Thats a good idea as well. I just don't want to get caught in another situation where im completely out of ammo or down to my last mag on pistol, staring at an AKM or what have you on the ground and still have to proceed with my M9 and 5 rounds.

Its rare, but definite assed out situation if you HAVE to run to the AAV to resupply and you are on your own.

You a MGS fan?

I agree, sharing mags or swapping weapons with your team weather they're dead or alive etc:
