Playing with randoms
So I really wanna play this but weirdly none of my friends do. My question is if I want a realistic, tactical "milsim" experience, should i even bother playing with random people? My experience playing with randoms in Ready Or Not was terrible, nobody communicated, everybody just went their own way and did their own thing 90% of the time. Does this game encourage playing as a team in any way? Is there some sort of a Squad Leader role or something? How has your experience been playing with randoms? TIA!

I have the same issue with my group, so only randoms so far and it's been good for the most part. The highest ranked person is the SL by default, and also the person who starts the game, can kick people etc. You only get xp for winning as far as I can see, so not a lot of people who play like that will be ranking up quickly.

The suppression/incap mechanics make you want to be close to someone, and the randomness of buildings and enemies makes it difficult to be a lone wolf. The community here seems generally better than I've seen in a lot of games lately, probably because it appeals to a more serious audience. At the same time it's also a small community, so peak hours are your best bet or using discord for a quick LFG.

All of my 55 hours are with randoms and so far it is a wonderful experience. You meet new people everyday and the community is older and very friendly (I play in the evenings). I kick players without microphone, so comms are well and in this game you are forced to work together if you want to win missions. Definitely the best coop game out there right now in my opinion.

My experience has been the same as Agent Orange. I've very much enjoyed playing with random players. If no comms I kick them. No offense intended, but the game demands comms and teamwork.

Only had one bad experience so far with a random player who instantly starting to throw grenades at his own team.

I played with randoms for about a week or so and most that do have a Mic are pretty decent and have decent communications, my friend got it and we just play us 2 now but before that I met some good people on there there's also the discord they have so you can look for more serious groups there too.

Another option is using the various LFG channels we have in our official Discord for recruiting fireteam members! https://discord.gg/SixDaysGame
