Gore ?
Hi ! , I saw the last video , and I also saw that there is no gore system , at one point towards the end an enemy gets shot in the head , the head does not explode or there is no blood, is it planned or can we mod it?

There was certainly blood, it was just a quick red/pink mist of blood before the guy fell out of view. Dunno about gore or if they'll be doing much of that, but it's possible there is gore and we just didn't see it because the video ended. Dude got shot in the head with an M16, not a .50 cal, his whole head isn't gonna just explode off his shoulders.

An m16 bullet is enough to blow your head off.. especially at this distance

This is something the community manager had answered a while ago. The game does have blood effects and what not. However they don't want to focus their image on "gore" witch given the context of the game aswell as it's historic controversy it makes sense that they don't want to go too far with it.

So in short there wont be any dismemberment in that sense.

Thanks for asking this. Yes, we don't believe we'll need extreme levels of gore to get the point across. We are featuring location-specific blood, though.

Man i was hoping for something like Ready Or Not levels of gore, realistic bleed outs with the ability to secure/bandage wounded/incapacitated suspects.

Hard negative, although the exit wound would certainly be large.

blood dripping off walls would be a nice touch

Much like Jegedillo said, in gamer terms: lolno.

This. Day of Infamy updated gore is pretty much the golden standard.

Or in general, this guy makes good videos about how gore could and should look:

Will there be basic amounts of gore though? Like if I shoot an insurgent in the head pointblank with a shotgun does his head bob back and forth or will it actually explode?

If there is no deep medical system i do not see the justification for detailed internal body structure.

That would complicate the whole "Player" object multiple times than just a simple mesh.
If this was something like L4D then sure but for a tactical FPS like this i guess blood is good enough.

If it was available for "free" then i would like to have super realistic gore too but it would be a new vector to generate bugs as well as it should not be something to spend too much dev time on as it is super low priority iMo.

True but all I'm looking for in this is if i shoot a guy in the leg is he going to bleed and leave a trail i can follow to were hes hiding or trying to patch himself up/get medical help... You see this in games like DayZ and Escape from Tarkov(somewhat complicated medical system) and also in the extreme like in Arma 3 ACE mod and games like S.C.U.M (I feel like you need to have basic medical training at least to understand that health/medical system)....
OR if i shoot the guy and he goes down is he going to cry out in pain until i double tap him like in insurgency and RO2, Or get back up if it wasn't fatal and shoot me in the back like in Ready or not?

New gameplay has come out that kinda answers most of the gore/death animation questions...

What about modding it in though? Are mods planned? Not very satisfying gameplay to have not realistic shot reactions in a "realistic" shooter.

The goal of the game is not to convey a message but rather to have fun, isn't it?

Part of the reason the game exists is telling the stories of veterans who served in Fallujah, which is the focus of the singleplayer campaign. I'd imagine that is the "message" the dev is referring too
