Fun!!

This game is really cute and fun.

Game is alright, trying to learn it and having some fun. Down-voting though because the only thing that's bugging me (A LOT) is the amount of pop-ups on the screen.

Why, every single day of the game, is there MULTIPLE pop ups for MULTIPLE quests and news articles that I have to actively click out of in order to continue to play the game ???? Who thought that was a good idea ?? It's so damn annoying omg. I literally stopped playing the game right now to write this review because I'm so annoyed at the amount of pop-ups I've had to click out while mid-decorating or trying to donate some animals.

Fun ideas, you can be an evil zoo keeper that turns animals into bacon, steals electricity from the public lights and adds chemicals in the food sold to visitors.
But the experience gets annoying after a few hours. Too much micromanagement of about everything which is not helped by the poor user interface. Also some of my employees got stuck not doing anything sometimes, while the animals were starving with poop all over the place (I checked for pathing issue, evertyhing was fine they were just stupid).

This game has been a good experience so far and while I am already more than 30 hours in, I have not even touched on the DLC's.

Here are my thoughts:
This game feels very cozy, very well polished and can be very enjoyable if approached not as a race, but in a relaxing way. The amount of possibilities thrown at you can become overwhelming quickly, specially if you try to expand at a high pace. I felt the best when I opened up a new plot of land and only moved to the next, when this was fully decorated to my desire. That means lots of $$$ stacking up, but there is not rush to spend them all.
I have to admit though that this sometimes feels repetitive whenever I sat through a longer session, but I got hooked again after a break of a few days.

I palyed the game both with a PS controller and with mouse and keyboard. Both showed some advantages and disadvantages in the handling. Personally I liked Mouse and Keyboard more because I could maneuver through all the menus quicker and placing objects was faster too.

Here is a short list of my subjectivels identified strength and weaknesses:
Pros:
- Controller and Mouse/keyboard support
- The game loop keeps you engaged, always something to do.
- You can be an ethical or totally unethical Zoo
- You can farm your own veggies
- The art is very cute and consitant
- Great variety of unlockable animals
- The variety of game assets to decorate your Zoo is big as well
- Game progression is quick
- The time you can sink into decorating and redesigning your Zoo is virtually endless


Cons:
- When beginning, the flood of pop ups and mission goals you get each day can become annoying.
- The amount of water basins and recreation elements needed per enclosure are too high, leaving little to no space for decorations.
- Turns very dark at night, making it difficult to place new things or expand the park.
- The micromanagement can get overwhelming quickly with an expanding Zoo.
- Lot of space wasted on ugly "utility" buildings, which are essential to not sink into chaos.

Closing marks:
The game let's you feel that a lot of developer love has been sunk into this game and they did very well for complexity this project brings with it. They have thought about and implemented many, many details, which comes along with a big amount of game design choices. A great job has been done with this game and I definitely recommend it to anyone who loves zoning out and building away for hours.

I love this game! It's very cute and easy to get the hang of. I do have some feedback, though. Managing the animals can be a bit tedious, especially if they are pregnant. I was trying to clear out some of the bunnies and kept giving away the pregnant ones without knowing. It's really fun, though! It has a lot of room for creativity and if you play it for hours like I do, you won't get bored easily.

I'm a longtime zoo game lover and this one belongs with the greats! It has a super charming pixel style and the mechanics are pretty simple but there is a TON to do, it's well worth the money. I think it strikes the perfect balance of progressing steadily, but not too quickly to get bored. Plus it adds some elements I've never seen in a zoo game before like hybrid breeding, farming and manufacturing. I will say that the interface is confusing at first, I had to do some googling to figure out what was going on. Once you get the hang of it, though, it's pretty easy to use.

Game just became unplayable and no one has make any patches to fix the issues, sadly it was a good game until the creator stop caring for his own creation.

i don't really post reviews, but im so tilted i just need to let you know about it. so this is a pretty fun game right? but every two seconds a stupid window pops up for whatever reason it is this time, the news paper saying some ♥♥♥♥, the day ending, there are so damn many! and it stops the whole damn game until you press the X button..... now the first hour of this, didnt really bother me.... but 7 hours in and im about to smash my head open on my wall, its like those adds on phone games..... but without rewards! who came up with this idea and let me turn the damn things off so i can play the game! ♥♥♥♥ it im going back to 2001 zoo tycoon.
