How to Build a Lake?

Hey, I just bought the game a couple of days ago but I've been playing it non-stop. One thing is driving me crazy though. According to every source I can find on the internet, the way you build a lake is just to click on the water icon in the build menu and it should be the first thing to come up.

Well, it's not there for me. I can see where it should be but it's locked, and no matter how many water features I unlock through Research, it just won't unlock for me. Am I doing something wrong?

Oh shoot, nevermind I figured it out. If anyone else is having this problem, the option is in the enclosure menu, the lake is under "Water Deco". Hope this helps someone.

You can also go under the decorations in the normal build menu to find the lake build option.

I still can't find it, it's not in either of those places for me! Help

I can see what I think is supposed to be it but it's locked and has a weird green v on it and seems to be nowhere in the research tree

could you link to a screenshot with what you are actually seeing? What you are describing sounds about right... water is pretty far in the research in the base game.

I finished my research tree and it's still not there can someone screenshot for me where it is on theirs?
