I bought this game because it was on sale. I tried to play it but it was blocked by Kaspersky as it reports this game has a virus. Even if it's a false positive I don't want to risk it.

Update, Kaspersky has confirmed that it is a false detection and it will be fixing the flagging on it. So until that is done, it is safe to create an exemption for the .exe file to be able to boot the game up.

Hi there, it looks like a couple of people are reporting this using who are using the Kaspersky antivirus software, so I will ask a member of the team to look into it.

In the meantime if you want to get on to it you may need to make an exception on your antivirus.

I have the same problem, is there any solution yet?

Having the exact same issue. I see that no reason for it has been found yet. This is the 2nd time a game on steam has had a trojan attached to it or its files. Realistically it is because of the file having the words "exploit" and "Win32". Why this file is even in there to begin with is questionable...

Hey, we've had a look into this and it does seem to be something that kapersky run into every few updates and has affected quite a number of games over the last few years. The best thing to do will be to raise it with their support. They seem to have a team that can fix it.
Just as an update to everyone else having this issue, I have sent the .exe (as that is where the issue exists) file to kaspersky and they are having it looked over. I will update when I get a response back with whatever their verdict is.

Dude it is a false alarm. The dev dont attach trojans to their steam games... I would not run around telling that stuff tbh.

If you read my latest post you would read with your own 2 eyes that I have verified this and that it is a false positive : ) glad to know you just came on here to try start something that was ended before you even showed up.
....because you are running around stating that a game has a Trojan embedded in it is possibly why... Beyond being wrong and insulting (cause you are right, the Dev's want to steal your things...) by accusing someone of doing so, you are spreading false information. It honestly doesn't matter if you come back later after the fact and say 'My bad'.

It's like people that preface things they know are insulting by 'Not to be insulting here...'
same here man
