Water Pump Bug

So I'm in a weird problem. My water pump will not upgrade. I have the upgraded pump researched and I can place and move the water pump but the utilities and upgrade buttons don't work.

There might be an issue in notification alerts maybe? Because I often have some notification on top of another and it causes issues on the 1st notification screen. I usually fix this by exiting as many as I can with ESC until the game asks if I'm leaving. It didn't work this time, I'm not able to upgrade my water pumps anymore.

I have also experienced this as well. Not sure exactly what triggers it, but it's like something is covering up the utilities and upgrade buttons. But the destroy button still works. It seems to fix itself if you close and restart the game, but that is annoying as you have to either wait for the next day, or lose progress. I also like to hide my water pumps behind trees so I have to be careful not to lose them and forget about them until I restart.

I've experienced the same and found a workaround.

1. Close all menus, then open the build section.
2. Then click on the water pump you want to upgrade.
3. The upgrade button now works.

Sadly, for the next pump, you have to start over at step 1.
Definitely a bug.

Hey! Looking into solving this now, are any of you by any chance able to share a video of the bug please?

Can't share a video, but the behavior was pretty straightforward for me.
I click on a non upgraded water pump after researching the upgrade. Don't remember if I did it on the same day or not.
All the buttons appear but clicking on "Upgrade" does nothing.

As I found, when it's working another dialogue pops up asking for confirmation and giving the upgrade cost. This didn't pop up. I believe the "Upgrade" button did however highlight when you moved the mouse over or onto it.

Additionally it would bring up the water heat map when I backed out of the water pump menu. So maybe it's triggering that somewhere in the background which then blocks the upgrade.

I built a new water pump and went through this again, so, what happens:

1. Build a water pump.
2. With no other menu open, click on the water pump.
3. It shows the water radius/heat map view and the buttons for the pump.
4. Mousing over the "Upgrade" button will highlight it but clicking it does nothing. (Incidentally the build menu can also not be opened at this time)

My workaround from above still works. If you open the build menu first then clicking on the already built water pump will not bring up the heat map view and the buttons do what they're supposed to.

That should hopefully be enough to figure it out :)

P.S.: The Utilities button for the water pump seems to have the same issue. I can confirm it for the upgraded pump and a player above stated it for the not upgraded one. It seems to affect the whole area of at least the bottom left corner of the screen.
Honestly this seems really odd but I have no idea how your systems work :D

Based on what we're seeing, it looks like this might be related to heat map. If you have the heat map up, bringing up a new menu and closing out of it seems to solve it for most people.
