Anyone else just waiting for research?

I'm enjoying the game a lot. But I've gotten to a point a few hours in where money is completely trivial, and I'm just waiting around for research. I've unlocked the thing where I can hire two researchers, but I really do just find myself waiting around for research to complete. Am I missing something? Any way to speed up research further?

Hey HinduBob! So two things really:

1. Research is certainly part of the game, but not all it's about! If you aim to get more animals, breed animals using the nursery, and generally build your zoo up, research will then come naturally alongside that
2. If you're finding that you just want research to happen faster, and it's driving how you play, you can totally just speed the game up at the top of the screen to x3 speed, and you'll get research points a lot faster :)

Actually i am at a point were i have researched almost everything for one moral line and there is still so much to do. I think i have only 1/2 of all the different animals and maybe 1/3 of 100% species DNA, so still a lot to do. But i have like 20 breeding centers already and don`t want to expand to fast, usually i wait to complete one species for 100% DNA, then i get a new one.

Same here. At that point, I'm just leaving the game on afk as the research points slowly trickle in. Hopefully there will be more researcher branches in the future, else I foresee I'll just drop it and pick it up in the future where there are more updates

Yea same. Maybe some events giving research point could help.
