Hello. It depends if I can find a publisher on the console.

Hello. It depends if I can find a publisher on the console.

Why? I mean I understand wanting to get on console but xinput is part of direct x and if I remember right adding support to unity, ue4 & ue5 is really simple for a basic but fully playable implementation.

The only reason I haven't bought the game yet is controller support. Yea I can emulate it with an app or steam input but native is ways 100% better and more accurate.

Plus wouldn't I it help sell the console version if people were playing on controller and enjoying it & MS, or Sony saw that?

A port to Xbox would be simple... Unless you wanna dig deep down and code to the metal then you can just use dx12u, it's fully compatible and easy to port, plus you could make an Xbox version now with dev mode. Or at least start.

Ps5 isn't as simple since it's not using the same API and is more like Vulkan but not exactly and some visual choppy chops would probably need to be made but not many. 1440p60 using TAAU or checkerboarding should work. Hell on Xbox FSR 2.x is in the SDK! Along with VRS, Mesh Shaders, free HDR/Dolby Vision mastering, direct storage, rebar, rebar combined with direct storage lol

Come on.... I know at least 1 copy is sold and out the door for probably an hour of your work with some tweaks down the line...

How can you say no to this face?

Hello. In part, I agree with you that it will not be difficult to add a gamepad to some games. In a game where there is an inventory and a large number of different interactions, this is quite difficult to do.
For example, if the game is like Mario, then you can add a gamepad there in 30 minutes.

There are a lot of complex widgets in my game, and a mechanic, so it will be difficult for me to implement it myself. So I need the publisher's help.

On top of all this, since I'm making the game by myself. I prefer to play games on the keyboard, I can't play with a gamepad. Therefore, even if I implement a gamepad, then most likely it will not suit you. So I can't test it myself.

Ok that's understandable but perhaps the community can assist you in that dept. I'd be happy to volunteer my time and help implement some controller support. It might not be the best but it will definitely be better than severed steels controller support.

I know these games are your babies and you want them to feel a certain way and look a certain way but this is PC... Land of choice. Like I said I could easily be use xpadder or steam input but I'd rather not.

So if you're willing then so am I. Just send a friend request, get it in there, get some feedback and then we can tweet at Xbox PlayStation and Nintendo that we want to see this on their platform

I have an Xbox one controller, an elite 1z multiple elite 2's, dualshock 4 and a dualsense so all bases covered.

Gamers gotta game!.
Plus having access to all the controllers should be helpful in terms of getting the feel of them right. I can't say I can get the dualsense haptics & triggers working without code from Sony but they should still work... Probably lol.

I wholeheartedly agree. But could you please create a controller profile and upload on Steam? I am not that tech savvy myself. If you can I am buying the game. I really want to support the developer but keyboard and mouse never works for me in such games as this one.

Thanks in advance 🙂

the price of the game has increased abusively, especially for an Indie, if you want to put AAA price, then treat the game as one, optimizing and adding joystick support, but still, the price is way above what it should be.

This one actually said full controller support on the store page when it first appeared there, that was probably just to get more people interested and wishlisting it, I doubt it'll ever get it just like all of their other games never did, I think they just hope people will just buy it anyway and wait for it to get added which some people did do, I won't be.
