i played the game today and for some reason, the game won't let me continue. the save files are still there but the game cannot read them. i saved the game yesterday and today for some reason cannot access the save files. any help appreciated

Hey, just started playing blind recently. Loving the game so far, but I'm stuck embarrassingly early into the second case. I'm at the casino on Day 1. I can't figure out how to progress. I've talked to the stairs chick, the bald guy at the banner, and the jerk at the stairs, but NOTHING is happening and the walkthrough I checked out said that a cutscene would trigger and I'd find a receptionist to talk to....

Hi! On Linux, the Steam download completes instantly and downloads no files. The game won't start because it can't find the executable. Browsing to the game's files shows an empty folder. I was able to fix it by selecting a custom Proton version, which I believe makes it download Windows files instead. I'm guessing maybe there's something wrong with the Linux build of the game? E.g.
