Not hard especially if you played original GTA3. You just have to know to do side missions as soon as possible before progressing with main story missions.

The ambulance side mission was the only really hard part of the game, the rest is alright
Oh ya, why not try our old achievements for these games:

"No times busted, no hospital visits, 100% game"

For the record, I completed these rougue "achievements" on GTA III, Vice City, and San Andreas so it is not impossible IF you are good at the game.

Definitive is easier than original because of autosaves before and after the mission.
Paramedic is not that hard, got it on 2nd try.
The only thing that bothers me is gang hostility. I can understand that they can recognize you on foot but in a vehicle? That part aged poorly but can be solved with a simple mod.
Lot of weird design decisions all over this game for sure. You may get seriously screwed over if you end up playing side missions after some story missions. The explosive icecream truck mission was really bad for me, because all the mafia guys in portland started to shoot at the the second they saw me, I ended up blowing up 10 times and restarting.

Drive bying Kenji was also bad for a similar reason. I had to cheese the mission with peak shooting my SMG out the car, when I was just in distance to damage them, but tbey weren't aggrod to it. It was weird. I also had 10 resets on that.

Escort missions can be bad, if you want to buy armor and weapons in Stratton island, there are enemy gangsters who rule that street. You wikl be shot at before you enter and aftrr you leave the ammunation. You'll easily lose half your armor in this interaction.

I heard hidden package collections give you respawning armor and weapons at your safehouses but I didnt know that, plus I had little interest in going hunting fir them
Overall its a very outdated gamr bydesign but it was the first stepping stone for something greater. VC ruled and SA is the best PS2 game ever.
It took me around 25 hours to 100%. I really don't understand how people struggle with this game. The only hard parts of it were paramedic and espresso 2 go.

The game is fun.
I played the original one and I don't know why people complains about this remaster, for me, is perfect. I don't like the fcking GTAV controls, tho.

Perhaps the snowflake people are all kids?

GTA III is a terrible game and will always be the worst GTA game I have ever played. The devs back in 2001 didn't even play their own game! No way you can pass Paramedic missions without glitch or mods. And don't tell me to do them in the beginning of the game; if you can't play them later on in the game it's called design issue. For those who still are struggling to finish Paramedic missions because gangs shoot you with their rifle/shotgun with %100 accuracy from 50 meters away, find and install "No Gang War" from Nexusmods.

Most people who will argue "game doesn't suck now even a little bit, you do, and a lot" are actually wrong, you cannot pretend that the first game in the franchise from a 2D to a 3D transition in 2001, and the first of its kind in the whole genre, will not have actual design flaws or things the devs back then overlooked, are straight delusional.

But yeah people love GTA, I love GTA, and I enjoyed my time with GTA 3 overall, but man some things just suck and wish they weren't that way. I recall playing the game out 8 years ago, because I remember the construction site with the Yakuza woman lying there dead, and then how I took down Catalina's chopper too, so I finished it back then, might be because I was a lot younger, or I just didn't remember it being this bad. I do recall the Kenji assassination being very tedious and needing many restarts. Maybe some of the issues are from the Trilogy remaster, it's possible.

Still, don't insult people when they have valid points to make.

I see your points, I love GTA franchise too. I tried to enjoy GTA III despite all negative reviews, but I found it impossible. It's more painful rather than pleasant. I know it's a game from 2001, but similar titles released in the same year such as Mafia 1 did much better most aspects. Character development, soundtracks, AI, pace, story narration, cutscenes and ...
I don't want to compare these two but GTA III is not that revolutionary open world everyone talking about, at least it's not perfect. Anyway, thanks for the friendly discussion here, I appreciate it. Unlike the user above your comment who used "Cheat-Menu Mod" to farm achievements for GTA III and VC. Yeah, there is no way you %100 GTA VC in 30 hours, no matter how hard you grind or speedrun. Got the cheater red-handed. Now below my comment he is confessing to use different glitches to pass the game. He has probably used the car crusher glitch to pass paramedic missions in GTA III as well.

It's funny how you call me a cheater and don't even quote me. Yes, 100% in vc is totally possible in that amount of time. I used a guide checklist and got take the cannoli using the cone crazy glitch and hunter vigilante. If you want to accuse someone of cheating at least do your Research.

Why should I bother explaining myself to you though. A person who considers gta 3 to be impossible lmfao.

Nope I did paramedic legit. took me 2 tries too. Sorry to break your illusion.

Yes I glitched for cannoli progress but could've just as easily done legit, hours on top. Hunter Vigilante makes it very easy.

You sir, are a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ noob and shouldn't touch these games. they obviously are too much for you to handle.

I also love how you call ME a cheater while telling people to install a mod to pacify npcs so you can complete missions without disturbance. delusional
