Yeah, I know it's got the spin off or whatever it's meant to be coming out at some point whenever the dev feels like releasing it. But it's been two, or two and a half years since the promise of that nightmare mode that was advertised as the next big thing for the game. Only to be put on the back burner the whole time. First for a mobile version, then a Halloween alpha test build, and now a full separate game off of the alpha test build. So either it means the main game is not getting updated for another two or more years. Or the dev is making the spin off game and dropping the series all together.

And I know from a quick glance in previous discussions, certain types of people will come rushing in here to either.

A: Defend the dev like it's their lover, and that we should be patient and not "harass" them because their "VeRy BusY wItH DevElOpiNg tHe gAmE RigHt nOw".

B: Tell me to join the official discord for the game to stay up to date on information and progress. Only to give the same answer as A when asking what's happening with the game or release dates.

Or C: Advertise that the game is on mobile phones now. And I should play that instead the PC version.

I was in the server not that long ago. And you want to know what is in there? Nothing but creepy men lusting for the characters of the game making "fanart" and other odd stuff of them. Bunch of kids that think the mindset of the antagonist is the ideal girlfriend for them. A lot of Russians doing the same two things I already mentioned. And of course, the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weebs. No wonder the dev barley shared or interacted with them. Because almost everyone in there is a damn degenerate. Even at times when there was something to share, it was most of the time just links to YouTube video's on the dev channel. making the whole point of info exclusive stuff to server members pointless. Needless to say, unless you like having a thumb up your ass in a server full of strange people lusting for fictional anime girls. The server is completely pointless.

But why do I care? You might be thinking or asking. Because it's a fun game that I actual enjoyed. Back in late 2021 I got it because it was dirt cheap and during October near Halloween. Played it for the first time with some friends thinking it was going to be more of a game to play before the two hour return mark hits. But to my shock it was really fun. I wouldn't say in a million years it's a real horror game though like it's advertised to be. But it's a fun game non the less. It's simple, has it's own charm in many ways, has replay ability, and challenging as you want it to be. Plus some funny bugs from time to time. This game, and Valkyria Chronicles 4 are the only anime themed games I genuinely enjoyed playing. I liked this game enough that I spent time to get all the achievements, which was not an easy task to say the least. And to see something with potential be pretty much delayed indefinitely sucks. I hope to be proven wrong in the near future and this game gets updated with nightmare mode it deserves. But I won't be holding my breath on it.

Thank you guys for the rewards on this post, even if one was meant to be a mark of degeneracy. People like hunter just shows the type of people that think criticism towards a dev is considered "harassment". When in reality it's just simply asking or respectfully critiquing development and progress timings on things planned or promised for the current game. I don't have an unhealthy obsession for this game series, or the dev themselves like some people do it seems. And if those like hunter make up a bulk of the fan base for the game. Then I can understand why the dev is very quiet most of the time, and want this game to die off.
