Probably not relevant for this game but here are my thoughts on Social Multiplayer within Interactive Fiction titles.
You could have breaks in the action for discussion among the people playing together.
Voting on key decisions by players.
You could even create ChatGPT AI personalities who insert themselves into discussions & attempt to mislead or push the game-flow towards their agenda. Identifying AIs could become an Among Us style paranoia-game. Ideally first time players should be unaware these fake players even exist.
I'm unsure how possible this all is - just some ideas I hope future titles will explore.
In the meantime, I'd like to explore Human Within! Do you have a release window for the PC version? I have a Quest 3 but would prefer to play in the highest fidelity on PCVR. If it's going to be 6 months or more I'll just buy on Meta. Likewise if there are few visual upgrades & the video resolution is the same, I'll probably buy on the Meta Store. Any info you can provide would be great. Thanks, SF
Heyo! Without being able to confirm any dates, it's closer than 6 months. Likely able to share a date in the near future. :)
As for fidelity, you'll undoubtedly see better performance overall using PCVR. Keep in mind, this is a live-action narrative so it comes with all the visual standards associated with the genre.
Hope that helps!
