You can turn it off, but if you want a reminder, the big production number is the only way.
+1
I don't mind the pearl animation - it seems to me it's tied to save being saved and reloaded. If it actually lengthens time it takes to save and quickload, than yeah it's annoying.
I am also not sure if drawing attention to the fact that we are quicksaving/loading is making it any better. Than again, I am not someone who had ever a problem with the gameloop - so I would be curious if folks who found quicksaving in Shadow Tactics/Desp3 are getting along any better with Shadow Gambit now when there is a narrative contrivance to explain it.

And if that is actual loading and save time? You need to work on loading and save times against a SSD ;)
The F5 animation is really throwing me out, much too prominent. Those massive flashes of light are quite annoying for the brain. Enough that i did not complete the demo in one day as planned, but came back to it another day.
The load animation however seems acceptable, as you get a few seconds to remember where you were and what to do next.
