It's all about "diversity" and "inclusion" these days from the bigger studios.
And I say that as a CIS (no, it's not a slur like that idiot Elon thinks) Man
The characters feel like they fit well so far.
I hear some of them might be gay, too. Better run for the hills.
This is art imitation real life for MOST people who actually know women and gay people and even black and Asian people! Bummer that inclusion and diversity make y'all get so emotional.
LOL, getting freaked out by the very existence of female characters has nothing to do with logic. You're the one who has problems with anyone who isn't a white cis het anglo male. Maybe it's time to grow up some, rather than airing your archaic attitude in public.
Signed, a white, cis, het, anglo male.
Seriously, try touching some grass and growing up in silence, your future self will thank you for that.
Noone is freaked on anything. Tell these lies to yourself more. Also there is no cis or other bs new words made up without meaning. There is normal, and there is not.
in no sentence did i express hate or dislike for female characters or minorities in general. however, being accused of this shows me more how biased some of you are.
I'm just sick of these modern media stereotypes of the strong, independent woman. not because i have anything against women or strong women, but because this depictions are often just an exaggerated form of the same characteristics that are so often criticized as toxic in men.
Yea, keep telling yourself that. What YOU like is normal, and everything else is scary and weird. Poor thing.
Where in the demo does a female character do something like that, tho? I agree that tropes get old after a while (read some Robert Heinlein to see how not to write women). But I didn't get any sense of anything like that in this, tho I haven't finished the whole demo.
But i didnt get the strong female feeling of Afia. She cant swim and she is basically useless to the crew. I think they did a good job writing her so far
