From a UX perspective the controls are straight up a nightmare.
Pick up a brick = Click
Place a brick = Hold
These two actions simply has to be the same movement with the mouse, it contradicts everything logical. I had the issue, and my 6 year old had major troubles with it also.
Should be:
Pick up/place brick: click or click and hold, as long as it is the exact same thing.
I hope this gets some attention, as as fix would make the game a lot smoother to play.
It's a beautiful, beautiful game marred by ONE WEIRD DECISION.
I hope the devs will read this and just put in a simple key-rebind.
It honestly feels like it's the worst common denominator across a variety of platforms. I really think the team should work on controls a little bit more and make independent, specialised handling for Mouse/Keyboard/Touch/Controller.
Firstly, replying to a 3 year old post, so thank you,
Secondly if you mouse doesn't have a wheel, you might want to get out of the 1980s. Heard it's not a great place to play games.
Hold to place BUT ALSO hold to drop? WTH >.<
Also not awesome if you are replying to a 3 year old post because the original issue is still an issue.
This is so counter intuitive and there are no options to configure any controls !! :(
