This game is riddled with AI generation.
Seriously, if you're at a point where the "art" is AI generated, the character models and the voice work is also AI generated.... Where's the game?
What did the developer do?
I'm reporting this game to steam, I hope others do the same. I doubt it'll get taken down, but people need to do whatever they can to fight against AI. If scumbags like this can profit off of nothing, why would companies hire real developers? This ♥♥♥♥ needs to stop, asap.

Well, I'm just about to play the demo now, though seems you said this, I will surely not be buying the game!

Good choice, demo's are free. ^_^

Strange thing to hold against a game IMO. Plenty of games already have procedurally-generated content, including procedurally-generated images and icons etc. Why should AI-generated image assets be any different?
Layla Spellwind May 19, 2024 @ 2:05am
Because AI is considerably different from procedurally generated.

Do you think AI is not a collection of procedures? Do you think AI is not software?

You seem to be hung up on the fact that some images were not hand-drawn by a human being. Big deal. Content created by software, rather than human beings, is nothing new. The only difference is in this case, it's artwork. And somehow that's an unacceptable special-case to you?

Dont care. Wish the game was optimized better though.

It's unacceptable because it steals from real people and is breaking Steam's rules by not mentioning it on the main page.

Thank you for pointing this out, was about to buy the game, it looked nice, but I just can't stand AI voices.

Seriously if you think you can put together a game just by generating some AI art then you have really no idea about game development. All this AI art to function you have to program it, you have to come up with the gameplay elements and so on.

I personally don't care where the art comes from. What interests me is the gameplay and replayability.

I wish this game would have more levels as I already went through all of them.

yea mood, i noticed the ai-shart all over this games page immediately. there really needs to be some sort of regulation on this

There was, until recently. Now it's a thing where you have to mention if you use any ai generated stuff, but it's not even enforced.

It's not only AI art but the characters are AI made too. And very obvious because the tutorial lady has her hands together with the cup handle. And the voices are AI made too. Which is so unfortunate since the gameplay is pretty decent

You don't know if this game is "riddled with AI". Doesn't seem likely given that it was well into development as of March of 2021--at that point they were already posting customer templates and taking suggestions. No one was screaming "AI! AI!" then. This is just paranoia. Do you know anything about Dreamway? Have you been to their website? Do you know where they're located? Have you contacted them to verify your theory?

What about you? Do you use AI software at all? What kind of experience to do you have that makes you qualified to judge whether images are AI generated or common CGI? What software do you think they're using?

You don't know. In fact, you don't know nothin'. AI is just a tool. Even if they use AI to generate some of the images, so what? If they're a small house, maybe they don't have the funds to hire a full staff. What then? You're saying they should just not make their game? Bull shoot.

Get off your self-righteous high horse. How do I know your post isn't AI generated? Huh? I think you're a bot just stirring up crap.

You're really upsetti spaghetti about a post I made back in April. I too frankly don't care.
No I don't use AI. No my post wasn't AI generated.
I care about artists, I hate things that come to threaten them.

... And that's literally all I have to say on the matter, if the game devs had made it clear on the store page that this game used AI, I wouldn't have bought the game and I would've just... not bothered. Easy as that.
Instead I've had to delete the game from my library as it was too late to get a refund.

That's it... that's all I have to say. If it's not enough for you... I dunno, too bad I guess.

Some folks in the 80's had similar concerns about hydraulic robots replacing assembly line workers. But it turned out their jobs weren't replaced, they were moved. To robot operators and maintainers. So not to worry. The AI probably gets close to what they need, but I'm betting there's still going to be a need for artists and Photoshop experts to adjust things before they're ready to be used by the game software. Especially if animations are involved.

If I were a starving artist, I would use AI-generated images for inspiration to make my own content that's even better. Perhaps even transposing multiple AI-generated images into one amazing masterpiece. That in and of itself could become a form of art and talent that employers would pay for. AI is just a tool. Humans still bring the real creativity. (That is, until the machines take over and become our overlords lol).
