Safe code
Hi,

I am trying to figure out the code for the safe.

I found 4 secret formulas, are there any more hints I am missing? I can't make sense out of these 4 formulas, I feel like I am missing something?

There is an image/clue with each formula that helps you match the formula to the single digit number printed on the safe. Absence of a clue is a clue as well.

I somehow managed to figure out this code through a Youtube video, but it won't leave me alone. What information was I missing and where would I have found it?

There are four clues, each corresponding to a position in the four-digit code. The clues are as follows:

1 The clue with the chess piece.
2 The clue with the bird in front of it
0 The clue with no sign in front of it.
4 The clue with the square in front of it.

The numbers 1204 above the numbers you can click tell you which clue to apply.

These clues are located in the following places:

Beside the bathroom.
On the locker door.
On the outside of the locker door (close to it).
Outside of your room, beside the door.

Hope that helps.

My undestanding of this was:
1 - chess piece with 1 leg(?)
2 - bird with 2 wings
0 - no picture
4 - square has 4 corners

xD

Yes, I eventually came up with the connection between the numbers and pictures. But while playing, I did not get it. The last point&click games I played on the C64. Maniac Mansion and Zack Mckracken, a long time ago. nostalgia

Duh, I had no idea there was more than one formula! *Now* I understand why I couldn't find a code with just one formula (I tried applying it to all digits, and then some variants), and why there were so many lamps you could remove...

Where to find those "formulas" anyway? This puzzle is a steep difficulty spike IMHO

Clues, from less explicit to more explicit:

* make sure you watched the recording for the room
* said recording suggests a place for one formula
* maybe extrapolate that to other places?
* take a light bulb form the room, go swap it for a black light in the infirmary, use the black light in various sockets, including the hallway outside the room
