For energy...is same online or offline
recently, i've noticed that everything apart from energy generation (0.25+0.01/crystal) and the junkyard search (24 hr timer after that last attempt) - perhaps the developer recently enacted changes to completely block offline progression of any sort besides the 24 hr timer and energy regeneration.... kinda puts a dampener on wanting to play compared to other idle games i play where the progression occurs offline as well (usually at a much slower but still noticeable rate), since i don't feel the need to leave my PC on for days on end just to get progress done...
but on the good side, at least it doesn't do suspicious activities while running unlike one or two particular 'games' released onto Steam recently - i callled one such 'game' released back in november i think, suspicious because despite lowest/smallest graphics/screensize etc, it still ran ~20% CPU + 50% GPU....
This means that when I'm trying for one of the earlier resets (Demons or Undead), offline activity is not much different than online activity, between uses of crystals. Indeed, the small amount of additional waste income can be worth going offline deliberately. That said, this is not true in the early game, and at the moment, it is not true for me when trying for a Drowners reset (though I think that, too, may change).
Dagon is for when you can get 3 million waste consistently and don't need Swamp Ritual anymore.
figures... so basically the author is trying to persuade people to either keep their computer runnin 24/7 or to spend a lot of money for tokens... i mean, for me, offline progression only reduces the 24hr search timer (junkyard) and energy regeneration... kinda raising a few flags for me now similar to one or two other 'idle' type games i've come across recently...
I do not think I ever got a Dagon that way, largely because it takes too long. Swamp Ritual is mostly nice if you have the free spell slot, can afford the time to get more than 50 Mavka back, and can afford the 50 Mavka to grant you more Mavka than you'd otherwise get - and can't easily get a Dagon.
Crystal #2 may speed this up (I'm not certain - I rarely get that spell).
My first Dagon was from Boiler A using a lot of Ash, and some levels in Demon Contract J.
