The unintuitiveness of crafting... Genius.
Just discovered how to craft a grenade in Arizona Sunshine 2 after spending an hour getting tired in VR trying to figure it out. I thought maybe you closed the case, then open it. Closed the case then walk away for a bit. Open the case and leave it open and walk away. Pick up the items and swap the items, went through the entire building again to see if I'd missed something.

Finally, after an HOUR getting tired, cos I play standing, quit to come here and find out. You bash the items together, very unintuitive, makes no sense at all gameplay wise. Now I'm probably gonna have to start the entire Survival level all over again. Wonderful.

This is the most unintuitive ` how to craft something` I've ever seen in a game in my life! But it's not unintuitive enough. Please make it so in Arizona Sunshine 3 we must use Telekenisis and hop 3 times on one leg before a grenade will magically appear on the tallest, out of reach, almost impossible to get to building possible. Then you will have achieved the Acme of Unintuitivity.

Thankyou.

yeah, the reloading is super unintuitive too, like, I not only have to GRAB the magazine but i ALSO have to move it to my GUN? what the ♥♥♥♥, i literally can't handle moving my hands together because it's so unintuitive the game should just play itself so i don't have to move my hands at all, smh it's like the xbox kinect died for nothing.

It tells you what to do, took about 15 secs from finding the box to crafting an item.

Sorry to ruin your fun, but OP isn't alone. I had the same problem; took 8 or 10 tries to get the game to actually show the directions.

Also took me a few minutes. Inserting a magazine into a gun make sense, that's how it works IRL. Having to bash together two objects actually representing a number of objects of this type - not how it works IRL. And the case has some wires and looks a bit like a machine - I expected that you turn it on somehow and it hides the magical crafting process inside a machine. Instead it makes you a "mage".

This player gets it.

I was expecting to use the machine/bench for crafting as well, and the game's tutorial also bugged out on me.
Bashing things together sounds funny when spoken, but is very unintuitive VR design.
I hope other devs are taking notes.

Can't you turn off advanced reloading in the options?

Yes. When you start the game it'll ask if you want fancy or simple reload.
