In AS1, I can change the aim offset before even playing, and make it natural. As someone with real firearms experience, it's important to be able to instinctively 'point' to something, and have the vr gun aim at it. That's how a proper fitting gun works in real life.
AS1 would let us set this offset 'cant' angle before even getting into the game. It was right in the settings.
AS2, I went through the entire menu and it wasn't there. Got into the game, and the gun in basically un-aimable. It's so far off as to be un-usable.
Without any workaround, this would be an instant refund, as I believe any sequel should have at least the same functionality as the original.
However there may be a 3rd party fix when the game dev's can't offer the option. Check 'OpenVR Input Emulator' for potential work arounds for changing angle offset in controllers.
Great comment - I fully agree. Also shooting with the rifle is awesome in the game, even without proper cheek weld etc.
Im from America and I have a too-common exposure to guns.
90 degree handles and stocks are extremely, and increasingly common because of the armchair shooter phenomenon. The grips *used* to be angled, but thats too hard for most American gun owners so theyve slowly gotten mechanically worse for the sake of a fatty on their couch to be able to hold the gun up
Haven't tried this yet with AS2 but it was already a godsent for some other VR games with that issue.
