Offset aim angle?
Is there no option to offset the aim angle? I'm on Index and have to unnaturally tilt my wrist upward into order to get the sights to line up

I don't have the game but a game of this price should absolutely have it at launch lol. Even some free VR games have such quality of life settings.

I'm on index and this post is already worrying lol, game devs post CoVid I suppose

As a huge fan on AS1, why is there no option for this?

In AS1, I can change the aim offset before even playing, and make it natural. As someone with real firearms experience, it's important to be able to instinctively 'point' to something, and have the vr gun aim at it. That's how a proper fitting gun works in real life.

AS1 would let us set this offset 'cant' angle before even getting into the game. It was right in the settings.

AS2, I went through the entire menu and it wasn't there. Got into the game, and the gun in basically un-aimable. It's so far off as to be un-usable.

Without any workaround, this would be an instant refund, as I believe any sequel should have at least the same functionality as the original.

However there may be a 3rd party fix when the game dev's can't offer the option. Check 'OpenVR Input Emulator' for potential work arounds for changing angle offset in controllers.

Everything is perfect with Index and Index controllers - no problems with any angles at all.

I think they wanted realism for Guns, handle of Guns are not 90degree and if you keep your hands straight you must bend wrists, Guns are designed this way so recoild doesnt destroy your arm.

Great comment - I fully agree. Also shooting with the rifle is awesome in the game, even without proper cheek weld etc.

I'm on index controller, did not have problem with it

Bro thats not how guns are lol are you from Korea or somewhere without firearms?
Im from America and I have a too-common exposure to guns.
90 degree handles and stocks are extremely, and increasingly common because of the armchair shooter phenomenon. The grips *used* to be angled, but thats too hard for most American gun owners so theyve slowly gotten mechanically worse for the sake of a fatty on their couch to be able to hold the gun up

You talk ♥♥♥♥, 90degree gun doesnt sit into palm, unless you talk about some tiny pistols made for ladies. There is no angle issue in this game at least using psvr2. What gun exactly has 90degree handle? Because of they are 90 degrees then 6 old year me was genius gun designer when i draw those guns in paper. Take a gun in game, just watch them with your eyes, none of them have 90degree handle. Maybe we are talking about player having that wrist issue you mentioned, guns are okay.

You could actually try to rotate your controller left or right physically on your hand, depending which hand you use, rotating it helps you achieve more natural up/down angle for wrist if you feel its too twisted or painful, you should be able to hold pistols with two hands without it feeling weird. And keep your wrist relaxed, weird feeling can come from thight muscles if you try to hold that gun too much.

Gun pitch is absolutely off, from real life to any other vr shooter, game was probably designed around oculus. Still not sure why it was overlooked though. especially at the price point

Not true. Melee weapons are completely off and aligned along the touch controller from Meta and not the Index controller. You have to tilt your hands way more forward and more simple put the handles don't aling with the Index grip. Oddly enough weapons feel normal but still bit off and Melee have the exact offset you would get when devs used the touch controller to align items.

Haven't tried this yet with AS2 but it was already a godsent for some other VR games with that issue.

The offsets are absolutely incorrect for index users. Anyone who says otherwise really must not play any other shooters nor has ever shot a real gun

oh i already commented on this... oops... ah well

All of the arguing aside, the point is that it's pretty standard to have the *option* to offset the aim angle, whether it's correcting an actual problem, or just to accommodate user preference.
