Tech Support FAQ
Hey everyone! Check here if you need any assistance as this post is meant to give you as many answers asap. We'll update this post with any other recurring issues we spot. :)

Q: Where can I report any issues I encounter?
A: It's best to always report issues on our official support page:
https://vertigogames.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/2

Q: I bought the game, but don't appear to have access yet?
A: Restarting Steam usually fixes it. :)

Q: Will my VR headset work with this game?
A: We can confirm that AS2, on SteamVR, will run on:
WMR HP Reverb G2; Oculus Rift (V1 and V2); Quest 1, 2 and 3 (with Link Cable); Valve Index, HTC Vive and Vive Pro.

Q: I can't seem to run this game with Virtual Desktop, what should I do?
A: AS2 is not designed to run with Virtual Desktop, so it may lead to issues. You can either start the game from your PC the old-fashioned way, or boot it directly from within SteamVR environment.

Q: I just get a black screen on startup. What do I do?
A: Check whether your headset shows any display when your start SteamVR. If it doesn't, this means you need to troubleshoot your headset first. Check whether your cables are all connected, check whether you're running any required software (like to Oculus App if you use a Rift S or Quest with Link Cable).
If you can confirm your headset is properly up and running, and the game still won't boot, please let us know via the support page.

Q: The game crashed while I was playing. What should I do?
It's best to immediately report the crash to our support page at: https://vertigogames.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/2
There, you can also attach a log file. Your log file for AS2 can likely be found in:
C:\Users\[Your Username]\AppData\LocalLow\Vertigo Games\ArizonaSunshine2\Player.log
If you restart the game it's likely you won't experience the crash there again.

Q: The game looks too dark/bright?
A: In the options menu, under video settings, you can adjust the gamma, allowing you to make the game brighter or darker.

Q: When the game starts, my in-game hands are lying on the ground and aren't tracking.
A: This issue is typically occurs when the game is launched before the Oculus or SteamVR app can properly initialize the tracking.
To fix: Close the game, close SteamVR and close the Oculus App if you're running it.
Then restart Oculus and verify your hands are tracking within the menu. Restart SteamVR and verify your hands are tracking within the menu. Lastly, restart the game. This should fix it.

Q: Players can't hear me? Or I can't hear them?
A: Check whether your microphone is working within the settings of your PC. Are other apps working with the same microphone? Lastly, check whether you haven't muted VoIP in the sound settings of the game.

If we notice any more recurring issues being posted we'll be sure to update this post. Until then, enjoy your time in Arizona Sunshine 2 ;)

Hi
I have a problem because I did not receive early access to Arizona Sunshine 2 with the Deluxe edition.
StuballGame Dec 5, 2023 @ 10:29am
Hey there Vertigo, i know there is likely nothing you can do for my edge case right now as its currently in Steam Supports ever-slowing hands.

But i purchased the regular edition of your game before there was an announcement for early access and am currently stuck awaiting a refund for the basic version so i get my money back to buy the Deluxe Edition for the early access period... (Though im currently stuck not being able to do anything because of steam thinking the Deluxe is already in my library when it clearly is not).

You should REALLY look into putting a "Deluxe upgrade" in the store to cut the price difference so no one has to sit and miss out on anything like this in the future!

You may just need to restart Steam.

I bought the deluxe edition, but still can't install! Help please!
Nope Dec 5, 2023 @ 10:32am
Same purchased awhile back but can't download. Restarted steam still nothing.

Edit:
Apparently I didn't order the deluxe version and can't order it when I add it to my cart it says I already own the game ... what a PITA oh well. Wait a few extra days or try to refund and re-buy are my options I guess.

@Kazed, we don't support Virtual Desktop, and you don't have to use it to start the game, as it will lead to issues. :) I'd recommend you restart your PC. Restart your Quest. Then connect the link cable to your Quest and PC. From within your Quest, enable the PC Link and ensure you're in the Oculus/Rift menu, not the Meta Quest menu once this is done. Then from your PC, from Steam, start the game, this should also cause SteamVR to start up by itself. See if that works ;)

Can we get get option to switch between old and new load/unload gun mechanics. The new reload mechanics is really throwing us off. We prefer the old format from Arizona Sunshine.

Doesn't show up in your early access yet? Just re-start Steam like they tell you to - worked for me!
