I was thinking about using the game to simulate day trading and i was if it could do that.

Yes and no. You can't day trade in the literal sense since stock values shift at the start of each trading day. However days are very short in IRL terms (seconds of time) and you can, say, buy shares on Monday and sell on Tuesday.

Just be aware that if you buy in bulk (like 150+ shares) and sell too quickly the commission will get suspicious about stock manipulation and might investigate. I haven't tried it but there's a little icon that appears to warn you when this would be a risk.
