if you think anything will be done for HW2 any time soon, i got bad news for you.
Last December, my partner and I bought the Nintendo Switch version of this game to play together. However, all we've encountered are bugs causing the game to crash with each loading screen, and they haven't issued a single update since then. There are even reports of the PS5 version shutting down every five minutes. Is this considered a normal game?!
I think it should not have been released in the first place if it had such bugs that it couldn't be fixed. They deceived users to recover the development costs so far.
Got tired, reviewed, blocked dev, uninstalled.
Really annoying paying for games which clearly dont work.
Yes its fun, until you get stuck on main quests and have to cheat all the time. Just no. There is nothing you can say to change my mind.
The Dev's flat out told me that they COULD NOT do Persistent Save Files to go from game-to-game .... fast forward like 3-4 months later and suddenly "Oh we added this feature!" ... They gave me a reason as to Why Not at launch was "Because the code won't allow for it." ... Clearly it did once enough people played for a little, realized you couldn't play this like HoH, and refunded and waited for that kind of an update.
There wasn't any deception or anything regards this. At this time, we really thought that persistent saves weren't possible with the way HW2 was built, so that's the answer that was given. But seeing how many people wanted it, our main programmer sat down to try adding it, and overnight he had a breakthrough, that yes, it is possible to add it in the end. The game wasn't originally made with the idea of "playing it like HoH" in mind, because it wasn't a roguelite. That's really how it went, full transparency.
Btw, not sure if Modus gonna post about it, we are looking into it, but there was a smaller patch released today, with this changelog:
