Endgame Gear
Hi guys,
i was curious, what are you rocking in the endgame? I crafted blue gear for my mage with some uniques. But its really a shame, that purple gear is not craftable. Crafting blue gear with double enchant is already a lottery, in which you need to find the right tickets first from the different shops. Purple would be even harder to achive, as it would require three times enchant lottery. I pledge to add purple enchanting into the game! Would love to max out my character!

Currently i use a lot of fire res gear (its pen for a mage), Aegis of the Cours and the Red Maw. My Weapons are blue fire weapons with fire res and pen.

I agree, it should be possible to craft or enchant purple gear.

At the moment I'm fond of double enchanted Keltonite gear to help with general survivability. Base Keltonite is 10-15 of each armor, fire, cold, lightning, and poison resist. instead of random enchants I will add specific enchants such as ___ of Iron (uses 10 ore each, which itself adds 5-10 more armor to each piece plus 5 block on each). This means 60-100 armor, and 40-60 of every resist, plus a flat 20 reduction to physical damage taken... and that's just one enchant on each (making them all green). Upgrading them to blue with a second enchant makes them even better (I usually go one of life/mana/stamina leech on the gloves, extra speed with reduce slow effects by 25 on the boots, 25% reduced damage when low health on the body, and +50% damage when low health for the helm)

However, random (not including other mats when enchanting) does have a larger table to choose from. I've gotten +12% armor value as a bonus before, which was nice. Here is a table that shows what you can enchant with extra mats.

If the Bulwark of Titans drops, I may swap out the Keltonite armor of iron for it, as the Bulwark is a 25% reduction of all damage (which is a greater reduction than 15-25 armor and 10-15 all resist is).

The Red Maw (head) is an interesting piece if you're focusing on main attacks as it grants 20% life leech on crits and an extra 10% crit chance (who needs potions? Not this guy!), though that is situational of course... and the more main attack crit bonuses you can get the better it becomes (paired with Razorgrip gloves (25%), the Midnight Mantle cloak (15%), and the Commodore's Eyepatch (10%), that's a lot of crit chance! Many of your attacks will be crits and will heal you a lot each time).

(I haven't gotten that combination yet, but if my napkin math is correct (the chances do not add, but multiply into each other, so 10% + 10% is 19% not 20%)... that ends up being something like 48.3% chance to crit, virtually half of all your attacks!)

...and yes, I know most of this is "expert" gear and not master quality, I still find if useful and valuable. Without going for a specific build, Keltonite is just a solid and reliable choice imo.

Possibly odd question but when does keltonite ore become available? I just got the quest to return to hammer island for the pirate assault so i assume not for awhile

It is found in the troll caves... you can sneak in there early, but the trolls hit kinda hard. Unfortunately, the crafter to make the armor is beyond the troll caves, so you won't be able to make it until you're on the quest to get through them.

Ty for the reply, I'll keep an eye out for that!

I just frequent the gear shops in Aventurine and bought good purple gear. Got a wand with att speed and cri chance, a nice shoe with +fire and %fire resist. You can also choose to craft with Black Hearts. That thing is better than purple gear.

There's a Mind Wall adept legendary headgear that gives you 50% int as armor, all the armor you need for mage, and the ultimate master level legendary gear Shirt of Coins that gives you as much armor and resists as you have coins. 1000+ all ele resists and armor you're basically 99% invincible minus poison and pure damage. And as you know, as a mage having 1000 fire penetration is a given that you can kill the final boss in 1 second. It's too cheesy so I won't use it to fight bosses.
