Still stuck on "Fallen Behind, Behind The Waterfall"

I got the hookshot from some grave.
I clearetd the Tormented pass but there were only wasps there.
I couldn't get across the river in the tormented pass, I didn't see any hookshot places there.
I talked with CD Garth, he only tells me to move across the river with hookshot.

I even tried to beat the labyrynth boss, spent 20 minutes in this fight. It ended with "You can't kill him this way, find another way"

What the heck am I supposed to do here.

The river in the cave is very shallow, you should be able to see the shallow parts as it's almost the same colour as the ground. You can walk across it.

The river Garth is talking about is the one you cross to get to the maze. Hookshot across it on the north side of the maze (I assume you've already done this part).

The boss in the maze needs a specific item to be able to kill permanently.

For the love of... ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell I spent like 2 hours looking for a way to get there and it never occured to me to go through the water. Since the way through is not marked on the minimap with greyish tint and it was always marked like this in sewers or something -.-
