Heroes 5 HoF: Is Ambush broken???

Have completed all initial objectives. Got the message that I need to repulse an incoming attack but the attack never happened. Gone several in game weeks waiting, leveling up a secondary hero. Have checked online walkthroughs. They say the attacking force should show up within a few days. No memtion of any bugs or other hidden agendas that need completing first. Has anyone else run into this. Any suggestions? Should I restart the map?

Nope I would restart.

A heads up though. The next mission "The Guerillas" is insanely difficult if you do not have the proper skills set up. I and many many others have had to restart the entire Dwarven campaign over again several times. Val is a B****.

I'm using a gog version and had the same bug just a day ago, so 4 years have passed, but nothing changed. The best solution would be using a console command that instantly wins the map @Win(). Here is a manual on how to activate the console:
