Looking at Hammers of Fate store page we can see the game DOES require Heroes of Might & Magic V to play, implying it's a DLC/expansion.
If I buy Tribes of the East and Hammers of Fate, will I be able to play Hammers of Fate together with Tribes of the East? By the way, which one is the best Tribes of the East or Hammers of Fate? I'm feeling I will have to purchase all 3 and I don't want to play twice Heroes of Might & Magic V (the vanilla version AND the Tribes of the East version)

2006 release of Hammers, implies it came before 2007 release of Tribes.
So it is the complete HoMM V game. Steam is a ♥♥♥♥♥ for still selling the base game and HoF separate.
By the way, thanks, I already got the game, this post is from 27 Oct, 2019, but thanks for the answer, sometimes is hard to understand those kinds of thing. I had a similar issue with Red Rodgers.
