Why do my racers always have to race against others many levels faster?

I don't get it, how am I supposed to do well or even enjoy playing against other players I can't possibly even catch?
Last race was me 16, other players 22, 24, 28, 28, 32, and 34.

Matchmaking is not buy level, it is by character rank, you get matched with your own rank bracket. You can have the character any level in that rank, think of some characters you never play and have shards built up, if you level it up and start rank 0 you start with a lvl 10-20 char.

Nothing pay to win, Never paid anything and this still happens to me since the game gives you so many characters that you're not interested in, that if you wanna play them online you start "overleveled".

your level catches up until about rank 20. rest is where the real racing starts.

I frequently win against level 35s as a lvl 15, or 40s as a lvl 20. If they play like ♥♥♥♥, like these people who complain and probably you, level doesn't make a difference.

know how to drift, know how to keep the racing line, you won't notice level until the far end of the ranks.

Lol, "nothing P2W". It's all over the game, blatantly. A F2P player might not even have access to certain racers while whales get those same racers to lvl 40-50 day 2 after their release then dominate the higher ranks and all unregulated events with them.

So if i pay to level my racer to 50 without ever touching ranked and then join ranked i will be a lvl 50 mpr 0 matched with other people around that mpr and thats not pay 2 win how? Just because you can get a racer levelled without paying doesnt make the game not p2w

You are playing a game for free. devs have to have money to make stuff so you get to play it for free. You have no right to complain you don't get a new racer day one, I had 25 racers in my first week playing completely for free, micket lvl 35 and fear lvl 31, and 10 other chars lvl 20. If you pick couple racers and play them, and relax and not be autistic about it, you'll be fine, otherwise think about paying for something that you love so much that you get so butthurt about it.

yes. because if you do that than I play better than you and win with a level 20 character. because in almost all games rank is by RANK and not level.

You guys are making me defend GAMELOFT and DISNEY, both companies I hate.
Complain about characters not having voiceovers anymore, complain about seasons having 2 parts that take 2 months, requiring you to pay twice.
Those are valid complaints, they are indeed greedy as ♥♥♥♥, but the game is very generous in giving you racers for free, and the level troubles exist only in lower rank tiers or if you play like ♥♥♥♥.

Remember you are playing something for FREE.

Why defend a game that can't even break 700 players on Steam?
