Do the math. They're intentionally trying to trick you into thinking you're getting a good value, by using absurd prices to say it's on a 'massive discount'.

Whether you buy the starter pack, or anything else in this game, you are supporting devs that are openly attempting to manipulate players. Vote with your wallet, and tell these ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you're not stupid, nor will you support a developer who treats their players like idiots.

These Starter Packs and Star-Up Packs didn't exist during the months the game was in Early Access. You don't need them to level your Racers, I just ignore them.

can absolutely ignore them, never touched em for the last 6 months, leave em for the whales

BUT it is indeed a massive scam, 690 tokens runs me about £6 and change, if the 92% discount wasnt there you're talking £70 (85$), for that you get.. a couple kart customizations and a tiny boost to 1 (of 36) racers..
so just think of it like buying furniture, who pays fullprice for a couch? no one, they're on sale ALWAYS, and these packs will be too

that and some they say are "70% off" were that same price in early access as well, so they are pretty much hoping players will fall for fake discounts which I am sure games are not allowed to actually do lol

dont like it then dont buy it. The gameplay is really good and its a well put together kart racer for the pc. Stop crying because you think its too expensive, then just dont buy it. Who cares, the game is good, the game is fun, jesus ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ christ

Games like this are designed to take advantage of mothers with children begging for the inflated junk, or to entice adult children into spending absurd amounts so that they can feel cool/special with their "ownership" of garbage digital goods.

I don't play a lot of mobile games, no. I mainly play on PC, and I haven't played any that claim a bundle normally costs $200, just to pretend that it's on a massive discount.

So new me is over here suggesting to others, whether they be new to it, or completely used to it: don't buy anything from this company, or other companies, that pull ♥♥♥♥ like this.

To be fair, this kind of monetization isn't common on PC/console games outside of EA Sports titles. It's very greedy, and if too many people unlock characters this season without spending money, Season 5 is going to be even worse.
