hot seat crashes after some time

anyone knows how to fix this issue?
2nd time already the game crashes, all auto saves are crashing in middle of the loading bar.
1st time i played on xl map with underground...
now i played XL no underground and still keep crashing.

Hi there,

did you get the "latest" patch - so V. 3.1 for TOE?

another reason may be that the exe crashes due to inability to consume more memory.
H5_game.exe is 32 bit which means it can use up to 2GB of memory for user associated data.

As you uncover maps of big sizes more and more memory is required until the peak is reached and the game crashes. This is the root cause for sure if the crash is experienced in mid to late stages of the map exploration.

To mitigate this download this tool -> https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371
Launch it and browse the Heroes 5 game directory -> Bin folder.
In there select H5_game.exe and patch it.
this will increase the usable memory from 2GB to a little bit less than 4GB.

This should solve your issue.

i did as you said but after i patch it and try to run the game i keep getting error:
error 3:0000065432
i then have to verify integrity to be able to play homm again...

this is actually an OLD BUG that was reported multiple times on ubisoft forum and reddit!
because the save file grows larger than the 32bit EXE file of homm5 can support... i get a crash to desktop.
so EVERYTHING in this link is useless to me.

FOR YEARS PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS BUG WITH HOTSEAT AND UBISOFT SEND ME A USELESS LINK.

So far everyone experiencing that issue got it fixed with it.
There could be some issue with the process itself. Try launching the patch as administrator may be that will help.

I am so sorry that you cannot enjoy this game for such time :(

iccl if you disagree..... NTCORE works nicely :) just not for steam version games.
go read a bit before you disagree or recommend something that clearly state it doesnt work with steam games AT ALL.
so my best guess you play cracked version.
sure i can download cracked version in 5 minutes, but whats the point is i actually paid money for this game.

After patching with NT core, do you get the same error if you launch the game exe directly instead of steam launcher?

All versions of the game Steam, GoG or CD have the same exe, so the only culprit I see here is the steam launcher.

Go to this location: C:\Users\(Your_Username_Folder)\Documents\My Games\Heroes of Might and Magic V - Tribes of the East\Profiles\(Your_Username) and locate this file: user_a2.cfg. Open user_a2.cfg file via notepad or something similiar, locate this line: gfx_vsync. In order to enable V-SYNC, you have to change only one thing: from the "gfx_vsync = 0" to "gfx_vsync = 1". Once you save the changes - the game should be launched with max 60 capped FPS.
