Includes all previous games?

For some reason, during the 2011 sale I've bought only this one expansion, because I've been led to believe that it contains HoMM 5 itself and all the other addons.
Now I'm reading that it's not true at all.

Should I still buy all the "V" games to be able to play them???

you don`t need the other V games to play this, but it does not include the other scenarios and story stuff from the previous.

I too, somehow came to think that's what this game/expansion was.

But perhaps I'm misunderstanding?

So is Tribes of the East a standalone, or do I need the base game to play it?

Either way, if I want to play the base game in HD, I still need this expansion, correct?

Have mercy on a HoMM newb. Well, sort of. IIRC, I played the first version way back. Hell, I played King's Bounty back around release date, too (old!).

Wow, didnt know that they did something like this. The game as it is from ubisoft: Tribes of the east is standalone and doesn't include previous games. but if you follow instructions on the forum you provided it should have all + some tweaks from fans.

What worries me is a small (500MB) size of the download. How can it possibly include both previous games?

So the final conclusion = you don't need anything but TRIBES to play every "V" game (if you don't wanna support UBESOFT)?

I actully tried downloading that Combo pack but i cant seem to manage to extract it so maybe its broken now? can any1 confirm its working? : X

Yeah. Can't tell if this is a hack or not. If it is, I want no part of it. I'll just buy the base game and the expansion so I can get full resolution. *That* I want. :)

IIRC you have to combine all three files when you extract? Can't remember.

I'm not sure how you guys are so clueless, the thread explains what to do on its last page, you can either merge the 001 002 and 003 archives together, or just extract the first and it'll grab the other parts.
