HoMaM V on Win 10
I'm having problems running this game (HoMaM V+HoF+ToE) on Win 10 64bit pc. The game itself runs fine, but crashes when I try to load a game (tried few maps so far, none worked). I also got a ctd when just building a market place, so there is probably more issues. I had no trouble running this game on Win 7 32 bit. Anyone knows how to get around it? Thanks

Hello Antar,

Do you have installed patch 3.1? How big maps do you try to load?

Yes the game shows ver 3.1 in main menu. The maps I tried were all "extra large" or "huge", but every single one of those I tried worked for me fine on old pc with Win 7. I tried running the game in compatibility mode (tried Win xp) but it did not help.

As stupid as it may sound Heroes V by default is a x32 bit application which means that the game EXE can use no more than 3G of ram itself. Which means huge and extra large maps (and their saves) break due to not having enough available ram to load the game.

Try the following thing, download the lastest version of this mod (Currently RC9b) http://www.moddb.com/mods/might-magic-heroes-55

Install it on top of your ToTe 3.1. Use the MMH55_64.exe and play one of the huge or extra large maps (or you can even make bigger with the MMH55_Editor_64). Try to play one game on it and see if it crashes. If it dont then this means the issue is coming from the game itself (somehow the app needs more ram then it does on Win7).

I am sorry if you dont like the mod but this is the only way to test :(.

I think i found a solution i just put on properties at compatibility windows xp sp3 disable full screed optimization and run at administrator and it lets you into the game and you can optimaze it there.
I have a problem that didn`t let me into the game but now it is fixed and then you can change the video and audio how good suits you
