hmmm I downloaded it from the download in the client... It was like 250mb and I don't see it... I don't see if the GFX menu or the main settings on the pull down.. only see opengl
Go to Game options then GFX then instead of openGFX or something click the down drop box and it should be zBase to select.
You need to download it.
Go to "Check content online"
Type zBase
Then enable it in your options
So would like to ask which mod should I be using. Been playing the pure vanilla for so long. But looking for a fresh new look. Seeing nearby thread https://steamcommunity.com/app/1536610/discussions/0/3076496088110691126/
Suggesting zBase [which look super nice] for Graphic
so anymore mod should I be using. Or the one in this look like a nice addition https://www.reddit.com/r/openttd/comments/jij6qb/list_of_best_modsgrfs_for_openttd/
And about AI? been using Simple AI is good enough. But wanting a bit more competitive AI [but not too competitive as I'm not that great player]
Thank you for any info/idea/suggestion. Will comeback and check the forum once in a while. And will now go spread the word about this game.
Just open the zip file, double-click the "openttd-jgrpp-X.XX.X-windows-winXX" folder, and then select all the files and extract them to... C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\OpenTTD ...overwriting all the files. You can now play JGR's Patch Pack via Steam.
If you want both versions, instead extract the files in the zip file to a different folder, then add it to Steam via the "Add Non-Steam game..." option.
There's a LOT of things that you've missed since then. I would suggest either you just download it and try it, or take some time to learn about it. Sometimes there's not good descriptions or documentation available from the online content server, but there's usually a lot more description and discussion over on tt-forums.net.
One thing to remind you of. If you use a NewGRF industry set, you WILL need NewGRF vehicle sets. Pretty much all vehicle sets support all industry sets, but you may want to check documentation to just make sure there are not exceptions. A good basic set would be OpenGFX+ Trains, OpenGFX+ Road Vehicles, FISH/SQUID Ate FISH for ships, AV8 and/or World Airliner's Set for aircraft.
So, what would you recommend?
Play not for money, but for great jam-less train networks – openttdcoop style.

It's harder than you can think. Openttdcoop set another problem than «mee, my trains do breakdown too often» or «let's make 500 planes».
