You can also set an option up so that vehicles automatically renew when they are X months/years from their maximum age.
Let's say you have a route that has high traffic and you have more than one bus going to and from that area. If you were to hold Ctrl while clicking during cloning a new bus, you will not only copy it's orders, but will also "link" the cloned bus to the original. They will both share that group of orders, and if you were to decide to add or remove a stop to one of the buses who share that order list, it will update for any buses who also share those orders as well!
Got a bunch of already bought buses that are causing jams on a route that used to be busy, but isn't anymore? If the bus already has shared orders and you want to remove them, select the "end of shared orders" section of the list, and you'll notice that the "delete order" option has changed to "Stop Sharing Orders". Click that to take a bus off shared orders! You can also add running buses to a shared order after they are bough or are running by holding Ctrl and clicking on one of the bus that you want it to share orders with as well! Just make sure that the bus being added isn't already part of another shared order group, otherwise, you might be changing over an entire group. It might just add the bus you're trying to swap over to, but I'm too cautious to chance having to redo an entire bus line back to normal if they all get added. lol
send said buss or train or plane or ship to your depo.
when said whatever is stopped at the depo, sell it.
before you do anything else, buy a replacement whatever from the same depo.
if done correctly, it will be the same #whatever you just sold, as long as it was the same cargo type for anything other than train engines, it will have the same orders as the last whatever you just sold.
if you already have a route set up, and you are adding to it, or planning to replace the entire fleet, you can copy orders before selling the last whatever from the fleet/route.
