Missing Furniture After House Upgrade
So when I did the first upgrade to my house, my furniture was fine. It was bunched into a corned and needed rearranging, but otherwise fine.

The second upgrade was another story. The first thing I noticed was that all of my furniture, including what had previously been upstairs and in the back room had been moved to the new room on the right, and the box containing my hammer was inaccessible because of all of the other furniture and crafting stations that were blocking the way. So I recorded a short video clip showing the problem that it was inaccessible, then went and tracked down the blacksmith because the only way to move my furniture and get to the box with my hammer was to buy another hammer.

When I got back with the new hammer and started moving things, I then noticed a much more serious problem: I had previously had more furniture than what would fit into that side room, and as a result, some items were missing, including my large ice box and all of its contents.

At this point I realized that my only choice to keep my items was to reload an old save and move things out of the house the day before before the upgrade was completed. So I did just that, leaving only my bed, storage boxes, ice box, and preserves jar that was still in progress crafting. So I went to bed, and when I woke up, the few items that I had left in the house were all there in that side room. I thought that was the end, but no...

I went into another room of the house, and when I came back, the ice box had disappeared AGAIN. I tried exiting and re-entering, reloading that day, sleeping to the next day, the ice box and its contents were just completely gone. So I reloaded the day before the house upgrade completion AGAIN, and this time, made room in my inventory to prepare to move my food out. So I woke up to the fully upgraded house, saw the ice box was there, took out all of its contents and then used the hammer (which I kept in my inventory this time) to move it to a different place in the house before going through any doors. I did the same with my storage boxes to be safe.

This seems to have fixed it and kept all of my items in tact. However it was quite a process and I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this and if anything was being done about it. Furniture moving when the house is upgraded is sure to happen, but there needs to be a workaround when there's not room so things don't just disappear. For example, in the game My Time at Sandrock, furniture that would be affected by house alterations gets sent to the player's mailbox with a letter saying it's from the developers, so maybe something like that is an option? Just something so it doesn't disappear.

If you can't find them should've been sent to a chest, either in your house or outside of it. If not I can take a look at your saves if you send them to contact@unwoundgames.com

Will look into making this less jarring in the future; through the mailing system seems like a good idea though will need some work to have that many come through

It might still be building the new house (takes 3 days). The duplicate house bug should be fixed with the update tomorrow. If this isn't the case you can email me your save to contact@unwoundgames.com
