Walter Hull is missing!!!
ISSUE
Walter Hull has been missing for DAYS and his portrait is crying in the Villager log. I think he may be stuck somewhere??

Operating System and Build:
Windows 11
Build ID: 14164547

STEPS
Honestly, not entirely sure. Only suspected he was missing when I had a Quest to hand in to him. It said he was in the forest so I went there. I went to the northern most point on the map and it showed him as above me on the map. I handed in the quest via the quest log so he was supposedly around that area but since then I've had no contact with poor Walter (I think it's been about a week in-game at least since I handed in this quest but I'm not sure). My theory is he's somehow glitched through the map somehow/into the area behind the bushes I can't get to yet and that he's sad because he's hungry and tired but I really don't know. Alternatively he's been kidnapped by a villain I have yet to see but I'm worried for his health!

The part of the map he's in is the secret witches' grove. To be honest, the fact the Hunter NPCs can even go there is a little ridiculous, especially since they are usually stuck there till sunday if you have a quest active (yes, having a quest for them seems to be something that causes them to decide to camp out in the unreachable forest). See if he's still in there by next sunday, if not load an older save?

also try setting 'disease' to off and see if his portrait changes to see if it's a disease.

The hunters sometimes go to the deep forest on hunting expeditions. If you quest is complete you should be able to mail them the quest using the letter symbol on the top right of the quest details

Thank you both for your replies, sorry I've only just seen them!

I thought it might be somewhere I haven't unlocked yet! Unfortunately, even when the market day came, he still wasn't around and then a few days later he died... Not sure exactly what happened but I guess I don't need to worry anymore? :slimescared:

I can only mail the quest to the mayor of the town. Even when I have completed other quests and am ready to turn them in, It won't let me mail them to them.

Unless it is taxes, they are bedridden, or on a hunt you cannot mail in a quest. If they are not then it is a bug otherwise - the one case that is most annoying is if they are at home but the shop is closed so you cannot visit; we'll look into that case
