best fishing spots first spring?

just got a fishing rod and a crustacean lure and fished in the lighthouse ocean as well as the village ocean. I keep getting shrimps, oysters, boots... cheap fish. I have the fishing minigame turned off, if that makes an impact.

are there better spots to fish at this time? or am I doing something wrong?

edit: changing lures helped a ton. switched from crustacean to rare lure made me catch other more valuable fish. still though, any advice would be appreciated here.

You get less junk and more fish from rivers in general, but mostly you just gotta level fishing a bit to get better catches. Once you hit about level 4-5 things get easier, and at level 5 you get your first fishing perk.
