Cannot Apprentice?

Hi, apologies if this is just something obvious I'm missing, but I'm struggling a little with getting my daughter an apprenticeship.

I decided I would like her to spend the first half of her childhood as a student and the second as an apprentice, and the option to apprentice her to the other villagers was always available (unless they already had an apprentice). But suddenly the option has vanished, and that seems to be the case with ALL the villagers, not just the ones who already have an apprentice. The only thing that I can think that's changed is that I now have a second daughter who just aged up to childhood. Does the game possibly get confused when there are two children and stop offering apprenticeships? Is there something else I might be overlooking?

I heard relationship scores might be a factor, so for reference, I have max relationship with all the relevant villagers and my eldest daughter, but not yet with my youngest daughter.

One of the reasons this might be happening is the jobs are all filled to the max. For instance, there can only be 2 fishers, 3 inn keepers, etc. You might have to review the village to see if the job you wanted to apprentice her to is taken up.

Another possible reason is that you've already apprenticed to her something else accidentally, but I doubt that's the case.

If the job you want her to have isn't maxed out, and she's available for work, this might be some sort of bug. Hope this helps a bit. :)

Oh you are absolutely correct! I vaguely registered that a couple adult villagers had started new jobs recently, but it didn't occur to me that that might interfere with apprenticeship availability. I checked the wiki and the villagers I was talking to had a max capacity of two in the profession, so that absolutely answers my question. Thank you so much!

I did eventually find a couple people with room in their professions; not my first choices, but my kid will still get some good experience from it :)
