Is there a way to delete/remove unwanted items from inventory?

I have a bunch of plantain that I picked up in the first few days of game play as my instinct was to pick up everything. I used some to make salad, but I have about 40+ more that I dont need anymore, and can't find anyone to sell them too.

I can remove from inventory and drop on floor, but it doesn't disappear overnight like I had hoped, and if I walk nearby it auto collects.

Make 2 composter crates outside and put a chest near them, then put in the chest all unwanted products (that can ability to rot) and when they rot you received a Rot that you have to put in your composter crates to recieve a fertilizer.

Or you can always DELETE unwanted item with Delete icon in your inventory.

You need a "Rubbish bin" icon-button in the Right Bottom to Delete selected item.

Ah! Perfect! Not sure why I never spotted that icon before. I have rot turned off at the moment. I wanted to play through a season without it before I switch that and everything else back on. Like the idea of the chest next to compost, so will remember that, thanks
