Lost Ghost Boy
I walked too slow and lost the ghost boy. I still have the quest to investigate. Will he come back?

Just keep following him all the way to the left side of the map.

He's gone and it's been days.

If you lost him you just have to wait until after 12AM and go to the witches hut where a cutscene will trigger.

The ghost boy is walking all the way to the witch, maybe try to talk to her and see if it triggers her dialogue about the ghost.

I tried going back after 12 am. I tried going to her during business hours. I've spoken to her and nothing.

Did you enter the actual area where she is after 12am? A cutscene should start. You cannot trigger the cutscene by entering her house and or talking to her during business hours, you must visit that area at night after 12am.

That happened to me. I lost him, but he was going west, so I kept going. Figured the witch made the most sense. Nothing happened.

Ended up reloading my save file and it worked fine. Not sure other than that, sadly.

He does not come back, and he waits for you on EVERY SCREEN. You were doing other things rather than following him. It happened to me the first time, too.

Next time, just follow him. Also, as noted above, if you dally and get to the swamp after a certain time (you should get there about 1:30 am), the gal you need to talk to will be gone.

Found out what I had to do. I had to sleep to exactly 12:03am and then he came back to the farmhouse.

Oh good! I wasn't able to follow him when he showed up because I literally hadn't slept. Now I can proceed and know he'll be there tomorrow night.

I've also found out that you can fast travel to the signpost near the swamp on a night when Timmy shows up, and that works just fine. Timmy is there waiting to take you the rest of the way.
