Can I safely ignore the magic stuff?
The sudden string of supernatural stuff leading up (er, down) to limbo felt like it came out of nowhere, especially since the description of the game only has a single coy reference to the "island"s secrets". I know the witch was in the demo, but I figured she was mostly an excuse to have things like swiftness potions.

Can I safely reload to before building the bridge and ignore this stuff until I feel like tackling it in a later generation? Will I screw up the story if I'm my child/grandchild since Timmy is there? Are there necessary or unique items received through this questline? Is this the only major story quest, or are there others to pursue?

It kinda killed my momentum because I thought I was signing up for a semi-historical farming/survival/life sim, not yet another semi-mystical farming game where only the new-in-town protagonist can save the island because reasons.

You can ignore the magic stuff if you'd like, there's no negative repercussions. There is a magic event that's vaguely forced on you the moon will be red but you can also ignore it.

So we dont have to fix the bridge in the first generation? Nails are so expensive considering how hard it is to earn money

Yep, you don't have to fix it

So it will still be fine if, say like, I were to fix it in the third or fourth generation? Cool
